I ended 2019 with 152 books. My reading definitely tapered off at the end of the year as I finished school (only 5 total in November & December), and hasn’t quite picked back up yet…but I finished school, so I’m going to call it a win.
- Red, White, & Royal Blue (ebook, fiction). This book was an absolute fucking delight. Second-best queer romance I read this year (surpassed only by The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics).
- Other People’s English: Code-Meshing, Code-Switching-and African American Literacy (hardcover, non-fiction)
- How to Be an Antiracist (ebook, non-fiction)
- The High-Protein Vegan Cookbook: 125+ Hearty Plant-Based Recipes (ebook, non-fiction)
- Everything is Workable: A Zen Approach to Conflict Resolution (ebook, non-fiction)
I’ve decided to not set any reading goals for this year, other than my typical 100-book goal on Goodreads, though I may end up picking up a reading challenge or two as the year goes on and my reading brain more fully transitions from school to pleasure reading.
